The Amana home appliance brand logo consists of the brand name set in uppercase sans-serif letters. In the current identity, the mark is most often used as a large “AMANA” wordmark in the brand’s signature red; black and white versions are also provided for different backgrounds and media. A separate brand lockup is used with the subline “JUST RIGHT.” placed beneath the main wordmark: the tagline sits below, is set in small, thin black uppercase type, and is visually separated from the main name by spacing. In 2016, an updated version of the logo was introduced and became the current one.
Amana is an American major home appliance brand founded by George Foerstner in 1934 in the city of Middle Amana, Iowa, from which the brand took its name. Key milestones in Amana’s history are closely tied to refrigeration and kitchen appliances: in 1947 the brand launched the upright home freezer DeepFreeze, in 1949 introduced a side-by-side refrigerator, and in 1967 brought the Radarange microwave oven to the consumer market. Since 2006, Amana has been part of the Whirlpool Corporation portfolio and is most widely represented in North America, where the brand offers refrigerators and freezers, ranges and ovens, microwave ovens, dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers.
