The Avtoradio logo, representing a music and information radio station, consists of the name set in large red uppercase letters on two lines and a blue graphic mark positioned in the upper right. The mark features a wide blue outline of a five-pointed star with a white interior and several curved bands radiating outward from it, forming segments of concentric circles. The brand palette uses red, blue, and white, colors close to those of the Russian flag. The logo has a white backing and a white outer border and can be used equally well on both dark and white backgrounds. The star appeared in Avtoradio’s visual identity in 1999, replacing the previous logo with lettering in a single line and segments of concentric circles representing radio waves. In 2007, the visual identity was updated while retaining the recognizable star and the main colors. In the new version, the star moved away from its previous association with a rotating car wheel and was reinterpreted as a “Hollywood” star, a symbol of success and the highest level of excellence.
Avtoradio is a Russian music and information radio station for a broad audience that first went on air in Moscow on April 5, 1993. The project was originally closely associated with automotive themes, and up-to-the-minute traffic information became one of its signature features. Today, Avtoradio is part of GPM Radio and Gazprom-Media Holding, operates one of the largest radio broadcasting networks in Russia, and combines Russian and international music, news, entertainment programs, traffic information, interviews, and live performances by artists. Among the station’s best-known projects are the shows “Murzilki LIVE” and “Poekhali”, as well as the “Disco 80s” music festival.
