The logo of Carrefour, a chain of hypermarkets and supermarkets, consists of the brand name written in a blue serif font and a signature graphic symbol placed next to the text or used on its own. The graphic element is a two-color diamond-shaped figure with rounded edges: the left part is red, the right part is blue, and inside them, through cutouts and contours, a transparent letter “C” is formed. This logo design was created in 1966 and since then has changed only in details — proportions were adjusted and the color shades updated, while the overall shape has remained unchanged.
Carrefour Group S.A. was founded in France in 1958 and gradually grew into one of the largest retail chains in the world. It operates hypermarkets, supermarkets, and various store formats in dozens of countries, developing international trade, digital services, and comprehensive omnichannel solutions. Carrefour is considered one of the founders of the European hypermarket model and continues expanding across markets in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
