The Cessna logo, used by the manufacturer of light aircraft and business jets, consists of a graphic symbol and a text part. The graphic symbol is a square divided into four geometric segments, with the negative space between them forming the silhouette of an aircraft viewed from above. Below the symbol is the Cessna wordmark, set in a sans-serif typeface with letters touching edge to edge to create a unified composition. Underneath is a thin horizontal line and the subtext BY TEXTRON AVIATION. The logo is monochrome and used in black or white depending on the background.
