China Construction Bank logo of one of the largest state-owned banks in China is designed as a combined mark consisting of a graphic symbol and a textual part. The core of the visual identity is a blue shape that reads as a stylized letter “C”. In the central part of the symbol there is a diamond-shaped cutout with right angles, visually referencing ancient Chinese coins that traditionally had a square hole in the center. In the upper right part of the shape there is an additional element designed as a separate facet. The text part of the logo is executed in black and includes the Chinese name “中国建设银行”, where “中国” means “China” and “建设银行” translates as “construction bank”, and below it the official name China Construction Bank is placed in English.
China Construction Bank Corporation is a state-owned commercial bank of the People’s Republic of China, founded in 1954 under the name People’s Construction Bank of China. Initially, the bank was established to finance state construction and infrastructure projects, which is reflected in its name. Over time, China Construction Bank has evolved into a universal financial institution providing retail and corporate banking services, investment banking, asset management, international settlements, and financing of large-scale projects. The bank is part of the “Big Four” largest banks in China and consistently ranks among the world’s largest banks by total assets, playing a key role in the country’s financial system and international banking operations.
