The Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ) logo depicts a stylized running deer — a symbol of Nizhny Novgorod (formerly Gorky) — rendered in a concise, modern design. The deer is positioned within a shield of clean geometry, with the GAZ name below in a bold industrial font. The current version, used since 2015, highlights the brand’s reliability, dynamism, and technological focus. The logo scales easily and appears on all company materials — from official documents to vehicles.
Established in 1932, Gorky Automobile Plant became a flagship of Soviet and Russian automotive industry. Initially manufacturing passenger and commercial vehicles under Ford license, it later produced iconic models like GAZ‑M1, Pobeda, Volga, as well as trucks and buses. Today, as part of the GAZ Group, the company specializes in light commercial vehicles such as GAZelle and Sobol, buses, and special-purpose machinery. The plant actively integrates electric and gas-drive technologies and continues to play a key role in the transport sector of Russia and the CIS.
