The GoPro logo, of the action camera and video equipment brand, consists of the brand name rendered in black or white depending on the background. The letters have smooth, rounded corners and are horizontally stretched, giving the wordmark a distinctive presence. Below the text are four solid‑colored squares aligned across the width of the logo. Earlier versions included colored elements and a slogan, but over time the visual identity was simplified to the minimalist form used today.
GoPro was founded in 2002 in California by Nick Woodman. The name is derived from “go professional,” reflecting the goal of giving users professional‑level capture capabilities. The first camera was released in 2004, and the HERO line became central to the brand’s success. Over time GoPro built an ecosystem comprising cameras, stabilization gear, accessories, mobile applications, cloud services and editing tools. Its products are used extensively in sports, travel, extreme environments, vlogging and professional video production.
