The logo of KM Malta Airlines is a composition in which a red airplane tail is shown on the left, inside of which there is a white eight-pointed cross — the traditional Maltese cross, historically associated with the Order of Malta and the islands of Malta. To the right of this symbol, there is an angled inscription: the first two characters «KM» are in bold sans-serif, followed by the word «MALTA» in thin linear font, and in the bottom right corner, a small red inscription «AIRLINES».
KM Malta Airlines Ltd was founded by the Government of Malta in 2023 and operated its first commercial flight on March 31, 2024, replacing the former national carrier Air Malta, which ceased operations on March 30, 2024. The main goal of the new airline was to provide stable year-round air connections between Malta and major Western European capitals and to develop the islands’ economy by strengthening transport infrastructure. The airline’s fleet consists of modern Airbus A320neo aircraft, and the company positions itself not as a low-cost carrier, but as a full European airline focusing on quality and sustainable development.
