
The M‑Hero logo consists of two parts: a graphic emblem and the brand name. The graphic element is an abstract depiction of an ancient Chinese warrior’s helmet in the form of a stylized “M”, originally intended as a reference to General Yue Fei. It is built from symmetrical, angular, chiseled linear forms within which the letter “M” can be read. Visually, it resembles a battle mask or helmet from science‑fiction. The text logo reads “M‑Hero”, using a strict font with angular characters slightly stretched horizontally, which enhances a sense of stability and technical direction. The emblem and text are usually used together but may appear separately. Since its debut the logo has remained unchanged and has become a recognizable element of the brand’s visual identity.
M‑Hero is a sub‑brand of Chinese automaker Dongfeng Motor, launched in 2022 and focused on producing premium electric and hybrid off‑road SUVs. Created as part of Dongfeng’s strategy to enter the market for high‑tech, powerful EVs with a focus on off‑road capability, autonomy, and innovation. The first production model, the electric off‑road SUV M‑Hero 917 (known as MHERO 1 internationally), began production in 2023. In 2025 a hybrid model, the M‑Hero M817 (MHERO 2), was introduced. The brand is actively developing its own engineering platforms, utilizing four‑motor drivetrain technologies and aims to establish itself in the luxury off‑road segment of the new generation.
