The Mail logo features a large “@” symbol with smooth rounded lines, colored in a rich dark blue. Previously, the logo included the text “Mail.ru,” but during the 2024 rebranding, the domain part was removed, making the mark more universal and independent of any specific domain. The updated logo became more minimalist while maintaining recognition and gained flexibility for use in various formats — from mobile apps to branded special projects. Complementing the brand style is a white dog named Byte, serving as a digital assistant and mascot accompanying users inside Mail services. These visual changes reflect a strategic shift from a standalone mail product to a broad ecosystem of digital solutions.
Mail is a digital platform that evolved from the eponymous mail service launched in the late 1990s and became one of the most recognizable products in the Russian internet. Today, Mail is part of the VK ecosystem and combines a wide range of services: email, cloud storage, calendar, notes, shopping, chats, and productivity tools. After a major update in 2024, the focus shifted to intelligent features and user convenience — introducing machine learning technologies, automatic email sorting, smart reminders, data protection, and integration with marketplaces and banks. Mail actively develops as a user-oriented platform offering a unified space for everyday tasks, communication, shopping, and digital document management.
