The McLaren logo consists of the brand name with a distinctive orange element — the so-called speedmark: a sleek, slightly curved shape positioned above the last letter. This sign first appeared in 1997, replacing the previous chevron, and was inspired by vortex airflow created by the rear wing of a race car. Between 2007 and 2017, the logo and speedmark were black, and since 2021, the signature papaya orange has returned, referencing the brand’s racing heritage. The font has become thinner and more dynamic, emphasizing the connection to high technology and speed.
McLaren is a British company founded in 1963 by New Zealand racer and engineer Bruce McLaren. It originally developed as the McLaren Racing team and achieved major success in Formula One, becoming one of the most decorated teams in the sport’s history. It later evolved into the McLaren Group, which now includes motorsport, technology development, and the production of supercars. In 2010, the company began serial production of road models under McLaren Automotive. The brand’s lineup includes high-performance sports cars, supercars, and hypercars such as the McLaren P1, 720S, and Artura — all developed using Formula One technology. McLaren remains independent and is one of the few companies to design and build its cars entirely in the UK.
