The MDV logo, representing the climate control equipment brand, is a blue lettermark with diagonal lines and interlocking geometry. The initial letter has broad straight strokes but lacks its right-hand section, appearing to overlap the D, part of which remains visible behind it. In turn, the rounded curve of the D overlaps the left side of the V. Light gaps between them distinguish the letters without breaking up the overall composition. The width of the strokes and the angle of the outer elements give the mark a solid, unified form. The main version has no separate emblem or explanatory tagline: the entire identity is concentrated in three letters. The logo can also be used in white or black, depending on the background.
MDV is a professional climate control equipment brand of China's Midea Group, established in 1999 by the division responsible for building engineering systems. It specialises in air conditioning for homes, commercial properties and industrial facilities. The range includes residential split systems and solutions for larger buildings, including variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, chillers and heat pumps. Such projects require equipment to be matched to the layout and purpose of each property, so work with these systems encompasses design, installation and subsequent maintenance. MDV focuses specifically on climate control, while its parent group makes a much wider range of products.
