The logo of Postbank, a banking brand, consists of a graphic symbol and the name set in large dark blue sans-serif type. The symbol consists of three curved sail-shaped elements: a large dark blue element on the left, a red one in the center and a smaller blue one on the right. In the horizontal version, the symbol is positioned to the left of the name, while in the vertical version it appears above it. Yellow is the primary background color of the brand identity, and the blue-and-red symbol with the dark blue wordmark is usually displayed on it. The logo also exists as standalone artwork without a background. The current symbol appeared in late 1994 during the transition to Deutsche Postbank AG. In 1999, the three-sail composition was retained, but the visual identity was updated: the logo began to be displayed on a yellow background, the blue was made darker and the typography was revised. The basic composition of the three colored elements and the Postbank name remains part of the brand today.
Postbank is a banking brand of Deutsche Bank AG in Germany, serving primarily private customers as well as business and corporate clients. Its history as a separate banking operation began in 1989, when the Deutsche Bundespost POSTBANK division was created as part of the reform of Deutsche Bundespost. From 1995, the bank operated as Deutsche Postbank AG and expanded its banking services beyond traditional postal savings and payment operations. Postbank later became part of the Deutsche Bank Group and, following subsequent legal restructurings, remained a separate brand within Deutsche Bank AG. Today, Postbank offers current accounts, bank cards, loans, mortgages, savings and investment products, online and mobile banking, as well as customer service through a network of branches and advisory centers.
