The PostFinance logo, representing a banking brand, consists of a distinctive symbol and the brand name positioned to its right. The symbol consists of two smoothly curved quarter-circle shapes that together form an interpretation of the Swiss cross. The PostFinance name is set in a large sans-serif typeface. The core color palette consists of the brand’s signature postal yellow, dark blue-green and white. On transparent or light backgrounds, the symbol can appear in yellow with dark blue-green lettering. On yellow backgrounds, the symbol can be dark or white, while the standalone emblem can also appear in dark blue-green. The symbol is also used independently without the wordmark. The current logo was introduced in February 2024 and began to be rolled out gradually in the spring of the same year. In 2025, the new visual identity was also introduced across PostFinance’s main digital services. The redesign retained the recognizable wordmark while introducing a new symbol, typeface and expanded color palette.
PostFinance AG is a Swiss bank headquartered in Bern and wholly owned by Schweizerische Post AG. Its history goes back to the postal cashless payment system: the first postal cheque account was opened in Basel in 1906, and the subsequent development of payment and savings services gradually shaped today’s PostFinance. Since June 2013, the company has operated as a joint-stock company under private law, holds a banking licence and is supervised by FINMA. PostFinance is one of Switzerland’s systemically important banks because of its significant role in domestic deposits and payment transactions. Today, the bank serves private and corporate customers, offering accounts and payments, bank cards, savings, investment and retirement solutions, financing, e-banking and mobile financial services.
