It’s a lightweight vector format (in kilobytes) that’s ideal for use on websites, in mobile apps, and for print. Thanks to its scalability to any size without loss of quality, it can be scaled from the size of an icon to a banner on a building. The file is easily editable in popular graphics editors such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and others, and opens in Photoshop without any issues.

PNG format

It’s a raster format with support for transparent backgrounds, making it ideal for use on websites, web graphics, in presentations, documents, and social media. PNG preserves high image quality at its original size, but may lose sharpness and become blurred when enlarged. The file easily opens and is used in popular editors such as Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, Figma, and most standard image viewers.

The Pulkovo Airport logo (new version, unveiled in 2026) consists of a graphic symbol and a wordmark with the airport’s name in Russian or English. The symbol is built from the silhouettes of two aircraft tails placed side by side: the left element is smaller, the right one is larger. The same outline also incorporates the image of Saint Petersburg’s iconic drawbridges, so the mark can be read both as an aviation reference and as a city symbol. The redesign of the corporate mark was created by Art. Lebedev Studio; the logo is used in dark or white versions depending on the background.

Pulkovo Airport is the main air transport hub of Saint Petersburg and one of Russia’s largest regional airports. It has operated since 1932 and received its current name in 1973. A new passenger terminal opened in 2013, combining domestic and international flights in one facility. Operated by Northern Capital Gateway, it handles over 20 million passengers annually, serves as a base for numerous Russian and international airlines, and offers direct service to major cities in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Interesting fact about the Apple logo
