The RIA Novosti logo consists of a blue circle containing white curved lines forming concentric arcs that create a sense of motion and depth. This element, resembling a wave structure, is positioned to the left of the text part. To the right of the graphic appears the agency’s name — “RIA Novosti” — in a geometric sans-serif typeface, in dark blue. There are two full versions: in Russian and English, both rendered in the same visual style. The current logo was introduced as part of a rebranding initiated in 2008 with involvement from designer Mario García, aiming to align the brand with a multimedia format.
RIA Novosti is one of Russia’s largest and longest-standing news organizations, now part of the “Rossiya Segodnya” media group. Its history traces back to 1941 when Sovinformburo was formed, followed by the creation of the Novosti Press Agency (APN). The abbreviation “RIA” stands for Russian Information Agency. Operating under the name RIA Novosti since 1991, it became part of the new media structure in 2013. The agency publishes news, photos, videos, infographics, reviews and interviews in multiple languages including Russian, English, Spanish and Arabic. Headquartered in Moscow, it maintains a broad network of correspondents in Russia and abroad, covering politics, economy, science, culture and global news.
