The SINOTRUK logo, used by the Chinese manufacturer of heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles, combines a geometric symbol and the brand name in its current international version. The symbol is made up of three flat wedge-shaped forms that converge near the center, remaining slightly separated from one another and creating a symmetrical composition. They are enclosed by a thick outer outline that follows the overall shape of the emblem. The name is set in bold, straight sans-serif letters. For international branding, the version with the SINOTRUK name is now the primary one, although versions with the CNHTC abbreviation and the Chinese name «中国重汽» also exist.
SINOTRUK, whose full corporate name is China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd., operates in China and traces its history back to Jinan Automobile Works, founded in 1930. In 1960, the company produced the Huanghe JN150, regarded as the first heavy-duty truck made in China. It later developed into a major industrial group manufacturing heavy trucks, tractor units, dump trucks, special-purpose vehicles, engines, transmissions, and other automotive components. Today, SINOTRUK is known not only in China but also internationally, and brands such as HOWO and SITRAK are widely represented in the company’s global lineup.
