The Skoda logo is one of the most recognizable among European automakers. Its main element—a stylized winged arrow inside a circle—first appeared in 1923. It symbolizes speed, precision, and technological progress. Initially, the design hinted at a head with a feather, inspired by exotic motifs, but was later simplified. Throughout the 20th and 21st centuries the logo repeatedly evolved—from decorative 3D versions to contemporary graphic style. The latest redesign was introduced in 2022—the arrow remains, but is now flat and minimalist, better suited for digital interfaces. The custom font was also updated, highlighting the unique shape of the letter Š, visually preserving the háček as a key element of the brand’s Czech heritage.
Skoda is one of Europe’s oldest car brands, founded in 1895 in the Czech Republic as Laurin & Klement. Initially, the company produced bicycles and motorcycles before shifting to automobiles in the early 20th century. In 1925 it became part of the Skoda industrial concern and took its current name. After joining Volkswagen Group in 1991, the brand began expanding globally. Today Skoda produces passenger cars, crossovers, and electric vehicles with an emphasis on practicality, affordability, and engineering reliability. The brand leads in European markets and is actively expanding its presence in Asia, especially in India.
