The TV Centre channel logo appears as the abbreviation «TVC», set in a bold sans-serif typeface. In the digital graphic version, the sign is presented in solid red, and the final letter is enclosed within a thin circular outline and, in silhouette, resembles the English letter U with a small tail in the lower right corner. Because of this, the rounded right-hand part becomes the main visual accent of the whole composition. In the on-air version, the logo looks slightly different: the letters are white, while the circle containing the final letter is shown in red, with a glossy three-dimensional look and white highlights and reflections in the upper part. The logo uses the shortened form «TVC», and this choice preserves the continuity of the brand: the channel used this abbreviated name at different points in its history, and after the full name «TV Centre» was restored, this form remained in the sign itself.
Joint Stock Company «TV Centre» is a Russian federal television channel that began broadcasting on June 9, 1997. It was originally created as a Moscow television project, but over time it grew into a nationwide broadcaster and became one of the mandatory free-to-air channels in Russia’s first digital terrestrial multiplex. TV Centre is known for news, social and political programs, public affairs content, documentary projects, films, and TV series. News programs, analytical shows, and television films occupy a prominent place in the channel’s schedule, which is why the brand is perceived not only as a city-based or Moscow-focused channel, but also as a fully fledged federal broadcaster. At the same time, its connection with the Moscow agenda and the name «Centre» remains an important part of its image.
