The D-Ticket logo, used for a public transport pass, consists of a graphic symbol and the brand name. The symbol is formed by nine horizontal stripes with rounded ends, arranged to create the silhouette of Germany. The upper stripes are black, the middle ones are red, and the lower ones are golden yellow, matching the colors of the German flag. The word D-TICKET appears beside or below the symbol in large uppercase letters set in a sans-serif typeface. The graphic symbol is also used on its own, with black and white versions available for monochrome applications. The logo was developed for the Deutschland-Ticket before the pass was launched and was unveiled in 2022.
D-Ticket is the abbreviated name for Deutschland-Ticket, a nationwide subscription pass for regional and local public transport in Germany, available since May 1, 2023. It allows unlimited second-class travel on buses, trams, U-Bahn, S-Bahn, and regional trains operated by participating transport providers throughout the country. Regular long-distance ICE, IC, and EC trains are not included in the pass. Deutschland-Ticket is sold through participating transport operators and transport associations and can be issued digitally or on a chip card. D-Tix GmbH & Co. KG handles the centralized distribution of ticket revenue among the participants in the system.
