The Lancia logo, used by the carmaker, features a shield-shaped emblem with a rounded top and a pointed bottom. Inside is a circle representing a steering wheel, crossed by a horizontal rectangular panel bearing the brand name. This panel represents a flag attached to a vertical lance on the left. The three-dimensional raster version features blue and silver tones, gradients, metallic highlights and shadows. The flat vector version retains the same shapes in simplified black or white outlines, without three-dimensional effects. The brand name is also used separately as a wordmark in uppercase letters with unusual geometric proportions. The Italian word “lancia” means “spear”. The steering wheel, lance and flag first appeared in the emblem in 1911, and the shield was added in 1929. Introduced in 2022, the current logo reinterprets the 1957 design while retaining the brand’s historic elements.
Lancia is an Italian automotive brand founded in Turin in 1906 by Vincenzo Lancia and Claudio Fogolin. The name comes from the surname of one of its founders. The company is known for technical innovations, including the Lambda, introduced in 1922 with a self-supporting body, and the 1950 Aurelia, the first production car with a V6 engine. Lancia also gained international recognition through its rally successes, particularly with the Stratos, 037 and Delta Integrale. The brand became part of Fiat in 1969 and today belongs to the automotive group Stellantis. In 2024, Lancia introduced a new generation of the Ypsilon with electric and hybrid powertrains, marking the beginning of the brand’s revival and return to European markets. In 2026, the lineup expanded with the new Gamma crossover, also introduced in electric and hybrid versions.
