The Continental logo, used by the tire manufacturer, consists of the brand name in bold serif lettering and a rearing horse to its right. The enlarged initial C curves around the following o, while a horizontal line runs beneath the horse. The wordmark and symbol form a single, horizontally extended composition. The main version is black, without a background panel. A white version with the same outlines and proportions is provided for dark backgrounds. The horse first appeared on the company’s products in 1875 and was registered as a trademark in 1882. The versions shown here have no tagline, keeping the focus on the name and horse.
Continental AG is a company based in Germany, founded in Hanover in 1871. It initially made rubber products, including solid tires for bicycles and carriages. In 1892, the company began producing pneumatic bicycle tires. Today, the brand’s range includes tires for passenger cars, SUVs, trucks, buses, motorcycles and bicycles, as well as specialty vehicles. Its products are supplied both as original equipment for new vehicles and as replacements for worn tires. Alongside the tires themselves, the company develops tire condition monitoring solutions: sensors and digital services help track operating parameters and support fleet maintenance. These activities share a focus on tires and their use, from everyday journeys to commercial transport.
