The Brembo logo, representing the braking systems manufacturer, combines a rounded symbol on the left with the brand name in lowercase letters on the right. The symbol consists of an open ring and a curved shape resembling the letter b. The wordmark uses broad, sans-serif strokes, while the counters echo the rounded geometry of the emblem. The main version is red, with a white version used on dark backgrounds. Both retain the horizontal arrangement of symbol and wordmark. In October 2022, the company updated the logo, aligning the emblem’s contours with rounder lettering designed, among other uses, for small screens. The red colour and the combination of symbol and name were retained.
Brembo N.V. manufactures braking components and complete braking solutions. Its history began in 1961 in Paladina, near Bergamo, Italy. Emilio Bombassei founded the business with his sons Sergio and Alberto and his relative Italo Breda. It started as a family-run mechanical workshop. In 1964, the company began producing brake discs for the aftermarket, and in 1972 it started supplying complete braking systems to Moto Guzzi. Its collaboration with Ferrari in Formula 1 began in 1975. Today, Brembo produces brake calipers, discs, pads and systems for road and racing cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles. Its products are used both as original equipment and for subsequent maintenance. The company also develops electronic braking control, including SENSIFY, a system combining braking components, software and data management.
