The Best Buy logo, used by the American electronics and home appliance retail chain, consists of a large graphic wordmark and a yellow price tag at the lower right. The name is set on two lines: BEST is placed at the top, and BUY below it. The letters are very large, uppercase, bold and sans-serif, with tight spacing and heavy straight forms. The yellow price tag is placed sideways next to the lower line of the logo: its left side faces the word BUY, the upper and lower corners on that side have diagonal cuts, and a black circular hole sits nearby. Versions with dark or white lettering are used for different backgrounds, with white text used on a bright blue brand background. In 2018, the company updated the logo: the text was moved outside the large yellow price tag, and the tag itself became a smaller graphic element next to the name.
