The Bristol brand logo is a text-based design rendered in bold capital letters with a strong emphasis on the color red. Special attention is given to the letter “Б”, which is integrated into a red circle. This element stands out on store signs, making them highly recognizable and visible to customers. The red color symbolizes vibrancy and accessibility, aligning with the concept of a neighborhood convenience store.
The Bristol store chain was founded in 1992, starting as a wholesale tobacco distributor in Nizhny Novgorod. In 1998, the company began developing its retail network, and by 2002 had over 120 stores. The first Bristol-branded store opened in 2012, focusing on alcoholic beverages. Over time, the chain expanded its product range and repositioned itself as a neighborhood grocery store. Since 2019, the chain has been owned by Mercury Retail Holding Group and is the second-largest alcoholic retail network in Russia by turnover.
