The logo of Tata is a blue oval emblem containing a white stylized “T,” shaped by two curved lines — the letter itself isn’t directly drawn, but is clearly visible due to the space between the lines. Below the symbol is the name TATA in blue, with both “A” letters missing their crossbars, creating a distinctive and recognisable font. The design was created by the British agency Wolff Olins in the late 1990s and has been used as the primary visual identity of the group ever since. This logo reflects technological progress, reliability and a forward-oriented direction, remaining globally recognisable.
Tata Motors, founded in 1945 within the Indian Tata Group, is one of the world’s major automotive manufacturers. The company produces passenger cars, SUVs, commercial vehicles, electric vehicles and buses. In 1998, Tata Motors became the first Indian automaker to launch a homegrown car with the Tata Indica, later releasing the most affordable production car ever, the Tata Nano. In 2008, it acquired British brands Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford, significantly expanding its global presence. Tata operates manufacturing plants and design centres across India, the UK, South Korea and other countries. Its vehicles are exported to over 125 countries, and the company continues to advance in electric mobility and sustainable transport solutions.
