The QIWI logo features a stylized letter “Q” containing the silhouette of a kiwi bird’s head — a nod to the company’s name. Next to it, the name QIWI appears in a modern geometric sans‑serif font. The primary brand color is orange, used for both the symbol and the text. This color choice reinforces visual unity and makes the logo stand out among other payment brands. The logo has remained recognizable since 2007, changing only in minor design details.
QIWI was founded in 2007 in Russia and began by developing a network of payment terminals, becoming one of the first services to enable payments without a bank. Subsequently, it launched an electronic wallet and expanded internationally, including to CIS countries and Europe. QIWI offered a wide range of financial solutions — from instant transfers and payment acceptance to issuing virtual and plastic cards. The company also operated a bank, owned the CONTACT money transfer system, and acquired fintech projects Rocketbank and Tochka. In 2013, QIWI went public on NASDAQ, becoming one of the few Russian IT companies listed internationally. Despite losing its banking license in 2024, QIWI continues to operate as a payment system and develops non‑financial digital services, remaining a well‑known brand with a broad user base and active ecosystem within Russia.
